Betsy circulated a card from Judy Robbins(Ron Hadley's daughter) thanking us for contributions to Rotary Foundation in Ron's name.
Scott and Eric offered reflections on John Dale.
Scott announced that Archer Mayor will be our Gala speaker. Mayor is a author of the Joe Gunther detective series.
Scott also announced that the club has two new sponsors: Nop Metalworks and Maple View Oral.

Liz- Happy to be early today and see everyone.
Also thanks to Bill Brooks and "T" for the Sheldon
Museum train exhibit which entertained her family
for part of her family during the Holidays.
Also thanks for the help and contributions to the
Christmas Gift Giving event.
Cari-Thankful for living in a caring community. Told us
of a New Years experience of losing keys to her
car and help that Foster Motors offered to supply
her with a car loaner. She found the keys at that
last moment.
Spence-Spence and Fran will be giving a presentation
Thursday Jan 23,from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the
community room at the Ilsey Library on their
five week study tour of Denmark,Sweden,
Norway and Iceland to study their climate
policies. Free and open to all.
Eric-Happy to spend time in Newport, VT.to help with
planning for the District Conference. Did a walk
through of Jay Peak Resort venue. Conference is
in May.

PROGRAM:
Liz introduced Chris Mason of Middlebury Police Dept.
Liz invited Officer Mason to talk about the drug crisis in our region. Liz explained how this crisis has affected her family and how her desire is to help other families that are going through this and the support they need.
Officer Mason explained the type of Opiods in the community and other drugs that are available. He explained that these addictions affect all age groups but 25-40 are largest users.
The epidemic isn't anyone person's problem. It is a biological reaction that can happen to anyone.
Over the next few months we will hear more from different speakers to help educate us.
