Nancy was happy about the community care home in East Middlebury and that she got a surprise retirement party - she is retiring at the end of March!

 

Spence was happy that the cold weather may be hurting the tick population.

 

Liz is happy for Geoff's improvement, the sun and good health!

 

Paul thanks Fred for the new TV setup!

 

John M was happy that Ben didn't catch his lack of a name tag!

 

Heather was happy that she pulled off a great retirement party for Nancy and that her sister was in town for it.

 

Ben was happy to see David Clark!

 

Kevin was happy for his birthday.

 

Lizzie was happy about the TV collaboration with Lions Club and that Karen matched her socks to her shirt!

 

Eric is happy that Geoff is improving, Nancy had  great retirement party and that he is going to MA for a president elect seminar for Fred!

 

Rebecca is happy that her husband is transitioning back to working at Porter!

events.

• Emphasis on increasing membership and improving demographics, with a focus on gender balance and age distribution.

• Budget and fundraising - Budget around 45,500; approximately 30,000 raised so far; an
8,000 shortfall attributed to the auction; exploration of additional funds.

• Service and outreach - Reengaging guests from the Friendship Breakfast; follow-ups
with sponsor organizations; promoting Rotary to potential
partners.

• Photos and media to boost club image (assignments to Kati and Rebecca); posting content to social media and website.

• Centennial planning (2027) - Establishing a steering committee led by Fred (incoming
president) and including Jason (president-elect), Kati (communications lead), Heather (treasurer), Liz (continuity), and others; fundraising and branding (new logo, banners, name tags with centennial logo).

• Discussion of a centennial fundraising event (a ticketed galalike fundraiser) with prize drawings; community involvement emphasized; a plan to sell tickets club-wide to meet financial
needs.

• Consideration of a uniform look for members during centennial communications and events (e.g., centennial name tags).

• Logistics and participation - Need for broader member participation in logistics and
fundraising efforts (e.g., “flag project” and other events); recognition that not all members currently participate.

• The committee plans to report back with more details on centennial activities and budgets.
