PRESIDING:
Judson Hescock
GUESTS:
Mark Freese
Rob Carter
MILESTONES:
Chris, Jason, and Liam are all celebrating birthdays, which (fortunately) gave us three chances to improve our singing.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Friendship Exchange--Nancy says that arrangements are nearly complete for the Friendship Exchange with English Rotarians who are coming on October 13 for a three-day visit in Addison County. They are all retired, from a variety of professional backgrounds, and they range in age from 49 to the upper 70s. All have been to the US before. Let's hope for good weather.
Membership Breakfast--Next week on Wednesday, October 10, at the Middlebury Inn instead of at Rosie's. Not too late to send names and addresses of prospective members to Scott. Speaker will be Richard Fox, District Governor Elect.
Trees Project--Buzz needs 4-6 people to help install ground cover around the trees. Bring a small spade if you have one. Saturday morning, 8-10 am.
Small Service Projects--Our first small service project will be to provide thank-you goody baskets for emergency service personnel--the fire department, police department, sheriff's department, and the Regional EMS. Geoff is looking for donated items to fill the baskets.
HAPPY DOLLARS
Lyn--great article on Warren Rinehart in the newspaper.
Kevin--the roof has been put on the bus shelter at HOPE, so it is finished. Thanks to Geoff for organizing people to help, and to the volunteers for their efforts.
Chris--Went to a Zac Brown concert in Saratoga. Parents gave him a gift of a plaque with service medals on it that he intends to return to the rightful owner.
Eric--at a District Foundation meeting Michael Carrier was selected as District Governor Designee.
David--for Dave Donahue's new job.
Jason--a Happy Forty.
Kathy--Bill has finished his treatments and hopes to be back to work (and Rotary) ahead of schedule.
