Anniversary - Heather Foster Provencher for her 21st Anniversary.
Rotary Anniversary -
Since today is a Club Assembly, Liz had Ben start with fines and happy dollars.
He fined Liz and Gary for not wearing their names tags.
Liz M.is happy because Ben picked up her credit card, and also very happy to be completing her first 3 months as President and for the strong team that is supporting her.
Liz S. was happy doe the Bocci Tournament.
Elise for Max Kraus who is not feeling well.
Jack for Chris Allen who is joining us.
Jason Laroque a sad dollar because he lost a good friend for too soon.
Jason Schnoor clarified that what he was talking about last week was teenage gender identity.
Ben announced that there will be a Salisbury Fire Department Fundraising event on October 12 at Foster Brothers Farm. He said it will be a fun event and urged us all to attend.
Phil announced that the Chamber will be honoring 2 of our members at their annual meeting in October. They are John Barstow as the Buster Brush Citizen of the Year, and Fred Kenny as an Honorary Member.
Ben announced that we last the Bocci Tournament.
Liz S. announced that we will be participating in the Parent/Child Center clothing drive again this year. Also, in memory of Scott Needham, we will do another turkey drive for Thanksgiving. She would like to see us do a project with local elementary schools to help purchase needed school supplies. We could think about getting high school students involved in this project. Liz S, also reminded us that October 15 is the day we will be presenting the first Maggie Quinn Award.
Jason L. presented the 2025 Community Service Schedule. He has something for every month. He highlighted 2 major projects which are the Fishing Access, and the Dugouts for the Brown Family Baseball Field.
Liz M. pointed out how lucky we are to have Jason L. doing such a great job on Community Service.
Kate spoke about the work she is doing on Public Relations. She is managing an Instagram site for us. The last post had about 1000 views!
Kate also spoke about the upcoming Second Annual Polio Walk. She would like to have more participation this year. She will be advertising on Front Porch Forum and has reached out to the local radio station.
Liz M. reminded us that any time we are volunteering we should wear something that identifies us as Rotarians.
Fred reminded us to invite friends who would be good Rotarians to the Friendship Breakfast on October 15th. We are working on establishing a companion club that would meet a couple times a month and hot have any meals.
Liz M. reminded us that next week we will have a Social at the Waybury Inn. Jason L. said the Inn opens at 4:30 so we can arrive then and any time after.
