PROGRAM:

Eric introduced Lacrosse the Nations participants. They presented a video of their trip to Panama. Eight students from M.U.H.S went. The program is designed to connect youth through learning and leadership an unfamiliar sport creating an environment where new lessons can be taught and practiced. While there they participated in a service project and also enjoyed some free time.  All agreed it was a great experience.

Jason-Introduced members of the RYLA group and their family members.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference was held a Lyndon State College from June 21st- June 23rd. They presented a video of some of their highlights. Goals of the program are to demonstrate Rotary’s values of service, encourage young people in responsible and effective youth leadership and provide them with effective training. Also to publicly recognize and reward young people who are serving their communities as youth leaders. They listed some of the key takeaways as: Team building, learning communication skills, new friendships, leadership skills and interacting with RYLA counselors and RYLA leaders.

All enjoyed the inspirational speech from Travis Roy. They hope to do a Service Project in Middlebury this year. Of the 62 participants at the conference, Middlebury Club sent 6. Jason presented awards to all participants. We certainly are proud of their accomplishments.
