Fred Kennny introduced his replacement. Fred is going part time and then retiring soon. He's been doing this kind of work for awhile. First in Sen. Leahy's office and then with the State Economic Development office. He's enjoyed working with Addison County Business Owners.

 

Alex is from Plattsburg via Colorado. He was in Americore for 11 Months. Went to Univ. of Northern Colorado and got his Masters at Univ, of Colorado Denver. Spent a year in Italy and joined ACEDC in February.

 

He will be heading up the ACEDC which is one of 12 Regional Development Agencies.

 

Mission is to help Businesses Start, Grow and Thrive.

 

The Agency does not Lobby and is apolitical. They administer Grants, Secondary Lending, and Facilitate Communication.

 

There are 101 Members. with a Board of Directors

 

The Agency grew out of the Chamber of Commerce in the 1980's and seperated in 1994.

 

Among the Successes were Agrimark in 1993, Collins AeroSpace, WhistlePig, BeauTies
