Dana came to Middlebury in 2016. Studied at the Pratt Institute. Worked at the Meetropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. Lives in Lincoln with Husband and 2 children,

Dana discussed the needs of the Library and the new expansion.

     - the library is alot more than just books

     - They have eBikes to lend!

     - Weybridge recently joined as a community.

     - Top 3 busiest in the State

     - Aging systems including roof and basement mechanicals that need to be upgraded regardless.

     - Curent library is not ADA, nor is it flexible enough.

The new process has been a thoughtful, methodical exercise. Goal was to save the original 1924 building. Tear down the addition and eliminate the 4th floor. Will Add 8,000 Sq. Ft., more than a 1/3.

They will reangle  the rear parking lot to accomodate the addition. Town will add 10 parking spaces below.

First floor will have a 'Wiggle Room' for Kids and the 2nd, a space for teens,

Also on the 2nd floor, MCTV, Adult collection and New Conference Room. Also an outdoor space.
