Liz is celebrating her birthday this week.
Eric D (12th) and Liam (43rd) are celebrating anniversaries this week.
Spence is celebrating his 6th year in the club this week.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Nancy-passed around photos from Heather of the work supported by club members of the work done for the Ecuador rehabilitation.
Judson-we got a nice thank you card from United Way of Addison County thanking our club for the $500 we gave to support the 50th anniversary celebration.
Judson-dues notices went out. Give checks to Scott.
Buzz-Brazil exchange student arrives next Friday. Will speak to our club soon.
Geoff-Bus shelter pad has been poured. We will finish the project soon.
Judson-will send an email looking for people who want to be on a service project committee. He doesn’t envision the committee will be too time intensive.
Scott-he got confirmation this morning that the continental breakfast is every other week, and there’s no breakfast when there’s a 5th Wednesday of a month.
Kathy-asked for a tree project update. Buzz said there’s no date yet for putting on the plaques, but likely it’ll be in October.
MEMBER INDUCTION
T inducted Dustin Hunt into the club. Buzz will be his mentor.
HAPPY DOLLARS
Judson—he is living in his new house despite it not being finished. He also went to Maine for two days recently.
Scott—Welcome Dustin into the club. And Donna has decided to join the membership.
Chris—Went to Maine for the week. Thanks Liz for 2 tickets to the Red Sox game. Went to Rotary while there. It’s a great group, and he brought back an offer for our club to participate in an annual raffle fundraiser that club runs.
Nancy—The new welcome center at Field Days is named for her nephew. The was a great dedication ceremony. She also recently spent 3 days in Rhode Island.
T—Welcome Center cost was fully fundraised. Gave a shout-out to Ben for ensuring the tent got set up for Homeward Bound in Kathy’s absence.
Karl—T called him at home, asked about Karl’s wife winning a rug hooking award at Field Days. Also, His father is highlighted in the WWI exhibit opening this Friday at the Sheldon Museum.
Steve—Happy to be back. He and his brother went to Ohio recently, and he’s recovering well from an eye injury he got during the trip. Also, he was recently accepted into the masters of accounting program at SNHU starting in the fall.
PRESENTATION
Buzz introduced Sarah Lindquist and Nikki Buddah from the Americorps program through Vermont Dept of Environmental Conservation. During their year that is ending soon Nikki worked in water quality and Sarah worked in waste management. Their time was spent doing service projects, trainings, programs, and events.
