Auction—Mike said the Auctiin raised $9200. There were 108 bu=idders for 148 Items for a total of $15,400 in Total Value. Ted S was the winner in the most items obtained!

 

Paul asked the club to consider a $1300 donation for an AED for the Police Dept. We will vote next week.

Alex Wolff spoke about his early years as a writer for Sports Illustrated. This involved an Olivetti typewriter and a Fax machine from 1990 to 2000 at which point the web took over and everything about his job became easier. He left SI in 2016.

 

Alex spoke about the Local News Scene and it's importance including the Addy Indy, Seven Days, VT Digger which is Digital Only. Community Journalism needs our support. Even the AI is asking for donations. 

 

Alex said his Best Story was when Dan Jansen, Speed Skater won the Gold Medal in an event that he wasn't predicted to after falling in the event that he should have won. 1994 Olympics at Lilihammer (sp?)
