Announcements: 

  • Paul Introduced the new Board
  • Paul Introduced his new Budget for 2024-25
    • ​​​​​​​Club Account - no significant changes. Dues stay at $600
    • Service: Golf is increased following a successful tournament; Window Dressers is budgeted at $5,000; $1000 for the Centennial Celebration; Youth Programs increased to $5,000.
    • ​​​​​​​Thank You Heather.
    • Budget Approved with a motion from Neil, 2nd from Ben, Unanimous
  • David brought up a new Cemetary Project on Washington St. on June 20th from 8-10am
  • Kati has the Club on Instagram! Check it out.
  • Geoff talked about signing up as a volunteer for Window Dressers. More to follow.
  • Mike K talked about getting ready to solicit items for the On Line Auction coming up in October.

Amy Carlin (our own) is the Chair of the BMP

Their focus is: 

  • Expanding Downtown Presence
  • Advocating for Downtown
  • Enhancing Downtown
The BMP serves residents, visitors and college
 
One new effort is the Middlebuy Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays at Triangle Park
 
Other areas of interest: Coupon Book for the Language School, Car Show Oct. 13th, Spooktacular is coming back, as is Very Merry Middlebury. 
 
BMP will be Advocationg for the Downtown Businesses: Breaking down Barriers, Communicating Problems and Connecting Parties.
 
There willbe a Community Breakfast at The Sheldon Museum this Fall.
 
BMP will also be Enhancing current Businesses including the Frog Hollw Area
 
Coming soon: Streetligh Flags, Murals, Wrought Iron Signage.
 
AND more flags and Bunting which everyone loves!!
