A topic to be selected by the DistrictEach year the Middlebury Rotary holds a speech contest for high school students. The winner then competes with students selected by the Vergennes and Shelburne-Charlotte clubs. The final contest is held at the District 7850 annual spring contest. Winners at each level receive a financial award.
The five minute speech is usually on a limited set of Rotary topics selected each year, such as “The Four Way Test”, “Service Above Self”, and the current year’s Rotary International theme.
